Reading Plan
 Leviticus 5-7

1. Write 1 Thessalonians 4:17 from memory.

2. Read Philippians 2.

3. Read the summary statement from Sunday’s message:
Chapter two of Philippians begins with the word therefore, sending us to search chapter 1. Many points as to what preceded the “therefore” were provided, culminating in the statement made by Paul which paraphrased is, ‘we have been given the opportunity not only to believe in Jesus Christ, but also to suffer for His sake.’ So Paul begins chapter 2 of Philippians with believing and suffering for Christ as a foundation. He then states that, ‘if we find any consolation, any comfort of love, any fellowship of Spirit any affection, any mercy in the fact that we get to believe in and suffer for Christ, then we must fulfill the joy found in Paul.’ The therefore is followed by an if, then statement. He then describes how we fulfill the joy that is in him.          We must: be likeminded, have the same love, be of one accord, be of one mind, not do anything through selfish ambition or conceit, be lowly of mind, esteem others better than ourselves, look out for our own interests as well as our own. It is with this mindset that we must approach serving Jesus Christ in whatever capacity He deems necessary.
Study this summary statement until you can communicate it. As you are exposed to God’s word all week let it saturate your soul until you have it deep within you. Who knows when the Lord Jesus Christ will pull it out you in a beautiful way.

4. Read Philippians 2:13, “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” How does God work in you?

5. Explain the verbiage both to will and to do?

6. Why does God have you do anything?

7. What is you role in your intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? (What must you do?)

2. Read Philippians 2.

3. Write Philippians 2:13-14.

4. Now explain Philippians 2:13-14 thoroughly.

5. _________ works in, _________ work out.

6. We live in a world today that the idea of fearing God seems wrong to people. Explain why you think this is the case. Why should we fear God? What uis the function of that fear?

7. Now write a prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ declaring to Him that you will work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. In the prayer explain how you love the Lord and seek to do His will, His way, ask for strength and power to do all that He requires. Just write your heart on the paper.
