New Year Reading Plan

1/11/2022

Dear Church Family,

A few thoughts as you prepare for the New Year and you begin to plan on ways 2022 can be more rewarding. Read the following and see if they can make your list.

Attached you will find the 2022 Reading Plan. This year we will read from the Old Testament and the New Testament each week. I would like to encourage you to download the plan and read it daily. I

would like to encourage you to pray daily and earnestly. I would also like to encourage you to commit to Sermon Prep in 2022, it will help you learn and certainly guide you into the message Sunday. We will

not have service this Wednesday Night; however, our first Wednesday Night Service for 2022 will be Wednesday January 5, 2022 at 6:30pm. I would like to encourage you to add that to your 2022

improvement list. Please attend each Wednesday Night Service. You will see prayer come alive and the sermon revealed by so many. It is a true blessing. Let us lay aside all the encumbers us from being

there on Wednesday Night and fellowship with your church family. I know some of you work and that is understood, but when you don't work, gather with your family at church. We need you. Continuing

down the road of what your shepherd would like to see each of us do in 2022, please give of your resources. God has blessed us through some very difficult times and our church has been able to thrive

during a time of difficulty and financial hardships all around us. However, God does this through the giving generosity of His children. So please give to your church, pay your tithes, help where help is

needed. Be a servant who gives and gives cheerfully. You will see a priority on paying off the parking lot this year. If you have given to this in the past, thank you and please don't stop. Ask yourself can you

give more? If you have not regularly given, then I would as you to begin. If all of us give we can have this parking lot completely paid off by the end of the year and we will not have any debt at the church.

Be a student of the Bible. Study to show yourself approved in 2022. Let your time in the Word be first and not last.

All of the above is great; however, it is great if and only if, it is done in love. Love better in 2022.

How?

By loving like Jesus.  1 Corinthians 13 tells us Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is

not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.8 Love never fails. So in 2022 suffer longer be

more patient, be kinder, do not envy, do not parade yourself, humble yourself and refuse to be puffed up, DO NOT BE RUDE, don't seek your own, control yourself and refuse to be provoked, do not think

evil, do not rejoice in iniquity, instead get far from it,  do not think evil and refuse to meditate there, hold every thought captive and point every thought to Jesus Christ, rejoice in the TRUTH, bear all things

and bear it well. Don't be a complainer, don't be a source of negativity. Don't praise Jesus one minute and then slap Him in the face the next by putting your relationship on pause and venting, your venting

destroys lives, it hurts people and makes them follow your destructive behavior. Warrior up and walk the walk you talk. Be who you say you are. You can do it! Yes you can! Hold every thought captive to the

obedience of Christ, believe all things, hope all things, all things of Christ of His Word, of who He is, and who He says you are. Believe it, hope it, endure it, do it.

And finally DO NOT FAIL. DO NOT FAIL! DO NOT FAIL! REFUSE TO FAIL IN 2022 by refusing to fail today. Wake up in the morning as the lord provides and DO IT AGAIN!

May these words guide your 2022 preparations and may our Lord Jesus Christ lead, guide and direct your path,

david wilson
