Reading Plan
 Zephaniah

1. Write Philippians 3:20 three times. Pray for Israel today.
2. Read Philippians 4.
3. Write down your THREE takeaways from Sunday’s message. Please write it down and email it to me at theway.dwilson@gmail.com.
Philippians 4:1-9
4 Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved. 2 I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. 3 And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
4. Who wrote Philippians?
5. Who is Philippians written to?
6. Do some research and if you can use a David Jeremiah Study Bible and read The book introduction to Philippians. Write a few bullet points about the book.

7. What does Paul call the Philippian Church in Philippians 4:1?

Reading Plan

1. Write Philippians 3:20 three times. Pray for Israel today.
2. Read Philippians 4.
 Philippians 4:1-9

3. What advice would you give a new Christian?
4. What did Paul urge Euodia and Syntyche to do?
5. What does it mean to rejoice?
6. The phrase “be anxious” (Greek merimnao) can refer to worry, but it was often used in contexts where persecution was at stake. How is Paul thus instructing the believers to act in the face of the hostilities they were receiving in their culture (see verse 6)?
7. The term “guard” (Greek phroureo) is also drawn from the arena of conflict and is used to refer to the actions of a military garrison stationed in a city. How does this describe the way in which God’s peace will guard the believers when they face hostilities (see verse 7)?
