A Unstoppable Force, Yes or No?

Sorry for the late post had two Bible Studies this morning and then had to take Pretty Sheree's daddy to the heart doctor! May the Lord bless your hands and feet.

Acts 5:33-39
When they heard this, they were furious and plotted to kill them.
34 Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. 35 And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. 36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. 37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. 38 And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; 39 but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”

Peter and the apostles have just been imprisoned by the Sanhedrin; however, an angel of the Lord freed them. The apostles obeying the commands of the angel went and preached at the temple. The reports went back to the Sanhedrin and of course they were not happy. They had the prison inspected and found that it was secure. Well, it was secure enough for the average man, but could not do a great deal to stop the messenger of the Lord. So now the apostles are before council. A council who is now furious and ready to kill the apostles. However, there is a particular Pharisee, Gamaliel, who makes one of the most powerful and absolutely testing statements in the scripture. Beginning in verse 35 And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men.

He said if this movement of men it will come to nothing, but if it is of God you cannot overthrow it. If you try you will be found fighting against God. Approximately 2000 years later and we are still talking about Jesus. people are still surrendering to His undying love. Men if it is of God you cannot stop it! Sounds to me like Jesus is an unstoppable force! Is He in your life? That is the question you must answer today is Jesus an unstoppable force in your life? (comment and explain your answer.)

As someone who has become farther from God than I have ever been I'm trying everyday to get back to where I should be. I say yes Jesus is unstoppable in my life because now that my eyes have been opened I am seeing him more and more every day.

Daniel, what I've found in my own life is that no matter how far we think we get away from God, it's only one step to get back. Praise God today that your eyes are open!

I need Him to bless my mind, brain, eyes, mouth, schedule and plan along with my feet and hands!
