Generally, we try to exhibit these attributes of love; however, we try to do them with failing tongues, crippled hands, and stumbling feet. The result is broken relationships, and feelings of being unloved, uncared for, and in the end abandoned. Why? Because somewhere down the line, we have convinced ourselves, we can love somebody the way Jesus designed, without first loving Jesus by His design. If you do this you will be an epic fail. You must love Jesus first. So think about it, if you are to love that special someone, you have to first love Jesus. Before you ever say to her, ‘I want to show you in every way, every day, you are my only one; you have to show Jesus in every way, every day He is your only one. Can you say this to Jesus right now? Can you say to Him, in everything you do, each and every day, He is your only one? Does your life scream, nothing is more important than Jesus? We will show Jesus we love Him by walking in the characteristics of love He describes in 1 Corinthians Chapter 13. Let us so walk.
