“and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary.”
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.””
Many say they don't have time to read their Bible, or they don't have time to serve in the church, or they don't have time for really anything that would help them spiritually.
Both of these scriptures are words from Jesus himself. He commends the church at Ephesus for their labor. But even in their labor they did not grow weary.
So I ask today, what is your labor? Are you even laboring for His name's sake? Have you too left your first love?
His yoke is easy. His burden is light. If we are doing labor for His name's sake, with the right heart attitude, it should not be burdensome. Studying your Bible, or doing a Bible study, or discipline, won't be burdensome if you are truly seeking intimate relationship with Jesus. You will come to do these things at all costs.
